Welp, got invited to share some dropbox goodies
Discussing things.
Well, we’re throwing emails with questions at each other, trying to figure out whether we’re on the same page, pretty much.
Turns out, we are
We were talking about pretty much everything. What we have been working on in the past, our general philosophy behind building games, and…..HOW AWESOME IT WILL BE THAT WE WILL BE WORKING ON THAT GAME !!!
We agreed on actually tackling this project and set a timeframe of 4 months from start to release – which should be july 2012.
Also since the iPad 3 was released in the same period, we decided it would be stupid to not support the tiny (2048×1536) that it features so nicely
Next up: Organization
*shrugs*
First contact
On march 7th I got contacted by Lukas, mastermind/CEO/magician behind Rejected Games.
When I saw the email’s title I was internally running around naked to celebrate but then something came to my mind, that has always been haunting me, ever since this and that and this project failed to be finished, over and over again.
I lost faith in strangers, quite a bit, due to all of these experiences, but naive and positive thinking person that I am, I went ahead and studied the email thoroughly.
When I was done with the last paragraph, I smiled
He just matches every single one of my criteria – of which I initially had hoped to find someone that at least has one of these.
He uses Unity3D, has experience and trackrecord on the appstore and is a wonderful and genuine person. Not promising anything unrealistic, but stating exactly how much time and effort he is able and willing to invest.
I shall marry him one day – haha
Well, to end this up. I tried to stay as calm as professional as possible and replied to his email, with my first question being “You DID read, that I can’t pay you for this project, right ?”.
The journey begins….
On February 26th in 2012 I decided to take a last chance at promoting my idea for an iPad only game and actively looking for a programmer on the unity3d forums.
This thread can be found here:

I tried to be as precise as possible by providing a lot of information about the required skills, tools and attitude.
Additionally I added a picture of how the game was supposed to look…
…and pressed the “Submit New Thread” button. With high hopes that the genius, equipped and awesomely nice in character is somewhere out there – waiting to be found
And then after answering a couple of posts that wished me best of luck, waiting for countless hours, looking in my mailbox – I just forgot about it all – since there was other projects to work on, as well.
